A bit miscellaneous and plus I couldn't find the old thread.
The Spirit of Christmas on the ABC this Friday (Xmas Eve) at 6pm, duration 1 hour. (Is this the same Spirit of Christmas that she did in Brissie?) I was reading and all of a sudden heard the mumbling on the TV go "Tamsin Carroll" and was all argh! Pay attention! ;D

Did you know any other performer details? My radar picked up the words "Tamsin Carroll" and then went on to sit in shock for a few minutes so afterwards I had to ask my mother what time and date it all was because I'd been taken by so much surprise

There was only two performers. Donald Cant and Tamsin.
They did a few numbers each with the choir singing in the background, etc.
This was the best part of The Courier-Mail review on the performance:
Standards of performances were good all round and the Queensland Orchestra, the Imogen Children's Chorale, the Brisbane Chorale and the two very convincing singing soloists Donald Cant and Tamsin Carroll invested much energy into making the show slick, polished and enjoyable family fun.

The "Imogen Childrens Choir" (I think that's the name) are also singing. I saw it advertised last night, so I'll either watch it or at least tape it. I would have watched it for Donald Cant alone but Tasmin is an added bonus Buff

Have you seen Tamsin before, Buff? If not, it'll be a lucky Christmas indeed

Oh, and I just looked up the NineMSN TV guide, and it told me that this will start at 6:02pm ( ) and run for 58 mins. So with Carols by Candlelight starting at 9, you can see one, have dinner, and see the other.

She looked so gorgeous in the blue dress! Her hair really looks lovely like that. It suits her. And for those who've missed it, Tamsin's Australian Jingle Bells was the best thing I've heard yet at carols this year, and I've certainly done the rounds Loved it! Also loved the carol she sang before Silent Night. I hadn't ever heard it before. Very pretty. And I'm impressed. I think she's been working on her soprano range. It's a lot stronger than I remember. Still not perfect, but on its way to being something gorgeous. (Or rather, more gorgeous )

I don't know if I was musing that aloud last night or just in my head? But I couldn't get past the rusty holden ute in remembering it and was wondering why no one had done it thus far. Adore Tamsin for being the one! Made me very happy indeed. And so adorable! She's too much fun. Aww.

I need to watch the whole thing again. I agree about the blue dress though - also with her hair - she's kept it the same since Pier Group Cabaret - mind you I just love that you can see this hint of red going through it - because her natural colour just starts to seep through

Okay just finished watching it - loved her version of Jingle Bells - that is why she's so versatile - one minute she can be comic in the Aussie Jingle Bells the next she sings White Christmas and Silent Night - her rendition of WC - she was all over Donald in terms of power/performance in that
