Hey guys
I'm heading to Melbourne for 5 days from the 8th to the 12th of July.
I'm just wondering, what's on in Melbourne and worth seeing? It doesn't just have to be musicals.
I don't have unlimited money, so (depending on ticket prices) I'll probably only get to see one or two things.

You've chosen the wrong weekend to come, you know. Leader of the Pack have their first performance on the 12th, Kiss Me Kate is a week later, and The Lion King and My Fair Lady open at the end of the month. All I can think of is Dirty Dancing and Menopause. Anyone else know anything I've overlooked?

Bleh and bleh.
Any good non-musical performances on?

MTC will have Influence (straight from Sydney) and King Lear running at that point. Malthouse will have Woman-Bomb.

It'd have to be limited, if Octavia needs to be moving on to Fiddler right afterwards!
It's worth seeing, though? I've been thinking of going along while it's down here.

Yeah if you can get tickets it's definitely worth seeing - it's a very Sydney play so I'm curious to see how the Melbournians find it Yeah Limited being only for 2 weeks only in August at the Drama Theatre (it set a record here this year for the Drama Theatre).

Woman-bomb sounds interesting.
Any good dance stuff on down there?

I went and saw Don Giovanni. My boyfriend's dad surprised me with tickets to it!
It was a very good production - lovely design (...except for the pizza and modern couch scene... what the?). Very beautiful voices.
It was my first opera.
