Every now and then I get curious about what's coming up on Broadway, but it's not often I find out this much in one go.
Stephen Schwartz has already got a new show coming, but it looks like this one doesn't just look like it's for kids, it actually is. Captain Louie is going to be Off-Broadway.
Elton John has been busy, not only does he have Billy Elliott coming to the West End, he now has Lestat (as in the Vampire) coming to Broadway with Tim Rice. I'm not so sure about that one, I can't see that story being overly musical.
Dizney's doing Tarzan next year, with Phil Collins extending his score, which is good, since the only real musical number in the movie was Trashin' the Camp. Prey they get the animals right.
And I had hoped the movie to Broadway trend would not go this far, but The Wedding Singer?!? I like the movie, sure, but how can that possibly go well?

I'm very very sceptical about Lestat. Especially given the record to date of vampire musicals on Broadway ;-) Tarzan could turn out very nicely. I'm waiting to see. Is that a pun? And I'm really not at all sure about the Wedding Singer. It looks like it'd be another Saturday Night Fever.

Is that a pun? Um, actually, no. And I might just be tired, but if it was a pun, I wouldn't get it. James

I think Talissa is getting at the faCt it's the wrong "prey/pray". The one you wanted was pray (to speak to God) not prey (something - usually animals - that are hunted) Buff
