Okay, just found this article about Sophie and had to post it, even though ITW is well over.

BODY:
IT'S been a busy time for actor Sophie Carter in her first year out of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, with the northern beaches performer already scoring work with the Melbourne Theatre Company.
"Last year I did a graduating showcase in Sydney and Melbourne for WAAPA and in the audience was the artistic director of MTC," the 26-year-old said.
"I didn't even get a chance to party with my classmates.
"At 6am I was on a flight to Melbourne to audition for Urinetown."
Only four roles were available and Carter landed one of them.
A couple of months later she was back in Melbourne, playing understudy to Lisa McCune in that show.
"It was an amazing experience," she said.
The role she is currently rehearsing is in the Stephen Sondheim musical Into The Woods, being staged in the Cumberland State Forest.
As a youngster, Carter studied with Newport jazz singing teacher Joy Yates for a number of years but came to a point of wanting to combine her singing with acting.
"So I joined Forest Youth Theatre and really enjoyed that," she said.
"I love doing straight acting but I get such a buzz out of singing."
Carter was also in High Society at the Arts Centre in Melbourne in July.
A dream start it might be for a young actor but Carter is not letting it go to her head.
"I'm enjoying it while it lasts," she said. "But I'm aware it might not last that long. I'm ready to be unemployed."
Lately, she's been doing work for Bookweek, in schools, wearing bright clothes and performing for seven-year-olds. She is learning a whole new set of skills for the young audience.
"You have to do different things to keep their attention," she said. "Kids let you know if they're not enjoying it."
So, it's the major theatres of Melbourne one week, and Bookweek in Sydney schools the next. Carter doesn't know where she'll be for the next job but that's the nature of the beast.
Into the Woods is showing from October 6-16 in the Cumberland State Forest. It's at 95 Castle Hill Rd, West Pennant Hills. Tickets are $32, concession $27 and child $27. Group tickets are also available. Bookings can be made on 9645 1611
