I noticed over the weekend, when I went to listen to Les Mis, that I don't enjoy listening to it as much as I did before I was in it. I still adore it, and have very high opinions of certain members of the CSR cast (need I say which? ), but it doesn't feel quite the same as it used to. Now I feel as if my cast, despite it's many imperfections (although some people were as good as, if not better than, some professional actors), is the cast, and, for now at least, are how I'm going to picture Les Mis. The fact that I'd only ever seen one (fairly poor) production before performing may have something to do with it, of course. Anyway, what I'm getting at is, I was wondering whether any of you have been through the same thing? ~Julia

Of course, and for the same show I think part of it is also that fact that it was live music and singing and the atmosphere which is missing from the recordings. Buff

Nice to know I'm not just going insane (Not a word!).
I really am missing Les Mis, though. I listened to some of my rehearsal tapes last night and almost cried. Now I think I understand how you must have felt reading me go on about it all.

I know what you mean, my highschool one the state award for highschool musical for West Side Story about 4 years ago, (I couldn't be in it, terrible.) Practically all the principals are now doing something in the professional music theatre area and they all fitted my mental image of the characters, so I doubt very much I'll ever live up to that memory again. I get withdrawl symptoms after a musical ends, I get upset quite easily and I get bored in the afternoons (when rehersals would usually be) See, even now I'm getting into 'currently not in a musical and therefore sad' mode.

Casts are just like one big happy family then one day..it's gone. I still have yet to be in Les Mis...it's my big dream...I want to be Eponine like no other...lol I've been through it with Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, and lots of others...I feel so sad when I'm *supposed* to be rehearsing.
