Okay, so we all know that Australian cast recordings are rarely made, but thinking back to the last ones that have been made, all I can think of are Wizard of Oz and Secret Garden (which barely counts, being an 8 track CD!). What other Australian cast recordings have there been?

I'm pretty sure there's a Chicago cast around somewhere - Caroline O'Connor isn't it?

I don't think an Australian Chicago recording was ever made....I could be wrong, though.
I got the BatB Australian Cast Recording yesterday, and it certainly has an impressive cast list. Many names I recognised, including Scott Irwin in ensemble. This is shifting the topic slightly, but did anyone see him in Les Mis? How was he?

Who is on the Beauty and the Beast cast recording? And does it include the song "A Change in Me"?

Wow! Thanks for that, Talissa! ;D
How is Hugh Jackman as Gaston?
I might have to buy the album just to hear Michael Cormick as the Beast- he's featured on my Danish Cast Recording of Chess, and his voice is awesome!

Hugh Jackman is a hilarious Gaston. Listening to it, I have a feeling he must have been marvellous to see on stage. He has the Gaston ego down suspiciously well ;D
Michael Cormick's on the Danish Chess recording? I didn't know that. He's a wonderful beast. I haven't listened to the whole thing closely yet, but some of his bits almost made me cry

I didn't realise there was a Aussie Beauty/Beast recording. I might have to track that one down. There have been 2 Aussie Godspell recordings. I've only heard one the 1972 Sydney cast. John Water's was John the Baptist/Judas. Shocking recording, awful interpretation. Terrible stuff. BTW, I didn't like it Buff

Not till November 27th. And I KNOW im getting a cd player, and a boxed set of the 4 narnia chronicles ( The lion the witch and the wardrobe, Prince Caspian, Voyage of the dawn treader and the silver chair) which were produced on video ages ago and i taped The lion off the tv and have watched ever since slowly getting shoddier every time i watch it. I can't wait. I also need car seat covers but hell i also need a new car. One with an air conditioner and a cd player so i can play all the fantasmagorical cds i get for my bday full volume! I've got it all planned! But if i dont get a new car i'll still have the cd player in my room to play them all on. (I won't get a car for my bday, but hey a girl can dream!) ~Diamanda~

There's also a Hair aussie cast from either the 80's or 90's (I'm not sure but I got it from d-store.com.au, no cast list on it though so not sure who's in it!) and FAME did a recording but it was only on sale in Adelaide (and maybe Perth?)
