Good news for all Wicked fans. There has been whispers about trying to get the show here, but this seems fairly certain. Buff

Pretty sure there will be. It was confirmed in the official newsletter for the London production (The Ozmopolitan), as issued by Universal themselves -"Dianne Pilkington will officially take over the role of ‘Glinda’ on Monday 16 July, replacing Helen Dallimore who has been invited to recreate her performance as ‘Glinda’ in the Australian premiere production in 2008."
Furthermore, on the Pantages website (theatre for the LA production) it elaborates with the following:
'A Japanese-language production of WICKED will open in Tokyo in June 2007.
A German-language production of WICKED will open in Stuttgart November 2007.
An Australian production of WICKED will open in Melbourne in February 2008.
A Dutch-language production of WICKED will open in Amsterdam in September 2008.'
So, the question is which theatre in Melbourne? Obviously the Princess since Priscilla is now confirmed for Regent and Spamalot is in Her Maj. Can't wait!

It will be the Regent... not my favourite theatre. They didn't mention any dates.

Sally, I take it that it'll be your turn not to eat next year? And huzzah! The Regent isn't my first theatre choice either, but at least it's coming! I will live on egg and lettuce sandwiches and fruit and tap water. (Wait, I do that anyway ) Awww. The Regent was my FIRST theatre. And I know firsthand how bad back-of-stalls seats are

Anyone know any casting? I know about Helen Dallimore as G(a)linda, but no-one else!
Anyone know how to get an audition for chorus or anything?
