OK guys, I have a HUGE favour to ask you all.
I'm auditioning for a play called Hysteria. There's only one female role and she's described by the director as:
"Jessica is a feisty, but cunning young woman whose mother suffered terribly as a result of Freud’s psychoanalytic therapy. Her mother has suppressed memories of sexual abuse, which were uncovered during Freud’s therapy and lead to her suicide ten years later. Jessica has come to Freud seeking answers and retribution. "
Apparently it's a bit of a comedy. I don't know much about the play
Ok, so here's the deal: I've never EVER prepared a monologue for an audition before. This is the first time I will have to. I need a max 2 minute monologue which would suit that character.
I have NO idea! I need a monologue and I don't know any...
Could you help? Suggest one? Do you have it? Can you post it/send it to me?
Thank you guys - you'll save my life!

Oh, just in case this helps, I also have to prepare this monologue from the play:
Well anyway, here I am. Should I talk about now or then? Past or present? Both, I know, I’m sure, but which end should I begin?
[She rubs briefly at the top of her breast, as if removing a splash of wine. A hysterical manifestation.]
Why am I here? I’m here because I was sent. I wouldn’t have come of my own accord. I have been married two years and my husband is concerned for me. I would find it flattering id it were not… he worries about my appetite which is small, but does not concern me. I eat no more than I desire. My husband also wishes I spent more time outdoors; I prefer it inside. It is merely a preference, not an illness. So that’s why I’m here, it is desired that I east like a horse and live like one too, in a field if possible. If you could turn me into a horse my husband would be overjoyed.
[She rubs.]
What has he told you?

I couldn't get a monologue so I couldn't audition.
