Fairly straightforward. What's your favourite song from Into the Woods? And what character do you think would be the most fun to play?
My favourite song's 'Hello Little Girl'

To be honest, the only song I know is "Hello, Little Girl" as it is on one of Mr Warlow's CDs. It would be hard pressed to beat that song anyway I'm told ITW is a great show. One of my friends was in it a few years ago and she loved doing it. Buff

Hmm.. I think it'd be both renditions of 'Agony' just for the comedy of it all... and I do love 'On the Steps of the Palace' as well. Would love to play Cinderella. I don't know that I like the music too much - I find it very repetitive and not especially interesting to listen to - but the lyrics and the characters are great.

I know about 'Hello Little Girl' because of Anthony, I'll admit, but I've been listening to some of the others recently. I'll agree with Lana that there seem to be a lot of repeated themes, but there are repeated themes in Les Mis, too. I wouldn't mind hearing the show straight through (or even better seeing it), because I think I've just been choosing all the songs with similar themes to listen to.

I haven't heard 'Hello little girl', I really don't know Into the Woods that well. One the steps of the palace is a great song, and 'He's a very nice prince' It's such a unique show, but then again I guess it's Sondheim so there's no surprise there. Forbidden Broadway does a great rip of it called, 'Into the Words' about Sondheim's tendency to put ALOT of meaning into his lyrics, lol...it's hell funny but of course I love the original more

Hmmm . . . it's like picking a favourite child Hello, Little Girl is good, yes . . . but not the best - though all three soundtrack recordings have terrific versions. Stay With Me (and Lament, but only on the OBC - they cut the best bit of it for the OLC and Revival) is (are) beautiful, as is Last Midnight. Agony (and its reprise) is (are) hilarious . . . No More is also lovely, and No One Is Alone. But, if pressed, I think I would go with Stay With Me. Also, check out Our Little World - not the Revival, the OLC - which is also lovely, but a bit something-and-nothing. I'd love to play any male character (and most of the females ) but Cinderella's Prince and Narrator/Mysterious Man would be especially fun Did you get a recording in the end Julia?

I haven't had a chance to get into Borders yet, but hopefully it won't be too long before I get a chance. I finished exams today, so I'm on holidays for the next 4 weeks now.
Ah, Stay With Me. I love that one. I'd forgotten about that.

Yes, isn't it just? Did you make a decision in the end as to which recording to get?

I love love love love love "Your Fault" (with or without "Last Midnight").
My second favorite would have to be "Hello Little Girl".

Yes, I've grown very fond of Your Fault lately. I just love it! ~Julia Definitely one of my favorites, preferably with the Vanessa Williams version of Last Midnight. After all, it has the edits Sondheim made, which I think make it better. Yes, I'm a Revival Cast fan, but then again, I saw it, fell in love with it, and insisted on my mom buying me tickets for my birthday, which was about four months after I saw it for the first time...
