Just found out what Tamsin's doing post-Harbour / RoM...
JMH on GMA today said they're currently doing the Dusty Springfield workshop which will go in front of potential investors, etc in 2 weeks time with Tamsin playing Dusty in the workshop.
One of my friends and I had pencilled her in for this role last year when we heard it was on the cards, hopefully it'll get picked up and have Tamsin in the lead.

Thanks Nadine ~Julia You can imagine my surprise at 1am in the morning watching this - I saw JMH and remembered they were talking last week about how rehearsals were on this week for Dusty so I thought let's just listen to see if they say who's doing it. Then he said Tamsin's name. We know that it's supposed to open in Melbourne in June, if they get the investors, etc - so there's a very good chance that Tamsin could be the one to play it. I just think it's funny she was juggling RoM/Harbour plus Dusty rehearsals all at the same time last week |

I was just coming here to ask, looks like I was beaten to the post I had on GMA yesterday and seriously heard "mumble mumble mumble Tamsin Carroll mumble mumble" and was all WHAAAAT??? ;D Oh, thank god you said Melbourne, I was ready to die if this was to be another we'd miss out on!! I hope she's in it! I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms - BBB was AGES ago!  |

Melbourne had her for almost a year in 2002/03 (if you think of Oliver!, Hair, BBB and Sideshow Alley) so to be fair Sydney got her back for a while in the form of Hats Off!, Harbour, Republic of Myopia and the Dusty workshop! At least we're keeping Peter for a few more months after April <g>
I know they want to launch it in Melbourne like Shout! but it's going to be tough whereever they launch it because it'll be against The Producers in Melb and The Lion King in Sydney.
From the gist of it, they're rehearsing in Sydney, will have the special performance in Sydney and then move to Her Majesty's Theatre in June in Melbourne if all goes to plan <g>
If it does go ahead and Tamsin is cast in the lead role, it knocks out any chance of her doing TPC this year along with Sideshow Alley.

JMH did his usual GMA spot today and mentioned that the workshop was on Sunday and about the cast, etc and how it was a success - now they're just waiting fingers crossed for the cash.
He mentioned how he cast Tamsin in Shout! and how she's going to be a big thing soon (pretty much he said she nailed the role of Dusty) as to whether or not she'll play the role in the musical if the cash comes is another story all together.
