These workshops aim to teach and explore the basic skills of dance improvisation and emphasise the use of improvisation as a useful tool in dancing and choreography. Aimed at students aged fourteen and over, the workshops will expand each participant’s choreographic repertoire and confidence, regardless of previous dance experience and training. Classes will include warm ups, improvised solo, duo and group exercises with a focus on dancing without inhibition and creating exciting and fun new movement. This will then culminate in a showing of the work.
