Rob Guest, a stalwart of the Australian entertainment industry, is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering a massive stroke.
Fellow cast members were told of his stroke today.
"The family ... have given me permission to say that he is critically ill,'' Ford said. "However, I also have been told that the outlook is very, very grim, so it's very sad.''
A spokeswoman for St Vincent's said Guest was in a serious condition in the hospital's intensive care unit.
