LES MISERABLES AUDITIONS - JUST 26 DAYS AWAY
Auditions for Encore's production of Les Miserables will be held on Aug 7-9 2009 in the drama room at Launceston College (Entry via main gate on Paterson Street).
Bookings for the auditions open Monday 13th July.

Please note that the roles of Valjean and Fantine have been cast, however understudies for both roles are being sought. Ooo - I'd heard about Valjean being precast but not Fantine. Who is it? Same lady as last time. She rocked. |

The Fantine from 2001 was Carol Devereaux, and yes, she was excellent. Don't know if she has been invited back or not. Buff  |

Somewhere beyond the barricade is there a world you long to see?
For close to two decades audiences have been thrilled and inspired by this wonderful version of Les Miserables, which is set to one of the most memorable and dramatic scores ever written. ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, ‘On My Own’, ‘Do You Hear the People Sing?’, ‘Stars’ and ‘Bring Him Home’ are among its many highlights which have moved audiences to standing ovations performance after performance.
Here is your chance to be a part of the Les Miserables phenomenon.
The roles of Valjean and Fantine have been cast. John De Jong and Di Briffa were both thrilled to be invited and have both accepted.
ALL OTHER ROLES WILL BE AUDITIONED.

Audition notices will be posted in The Examiner on Sat 25 July and Sat 1 Aug.
Audition times are being snapped up already, so if you want to grab your preferred time (and time of day when your voice is fully warmed up) we suggest making the call now - NOT LATER.

Well the auditions are over, and now the wait begins for the cast announcement! From the 100 people who auditioned, sounds like Encore are very happy with the cast the have got. Buff |
