I think this would be an interesting question...which part/s would you love to play and why? Probably all of them, I know...but here's mine!
Christine, Phantom of the Opera Fantine, Les Miserables Lucy or Emma from Jekyll and Hyde, (I love both parts so much, I can't choose) Eliza, My Fair Lady
Okay, that's all I can think of at the moment, but there will probably be more.
I love all these parts because they all suit my voice, and range (except of course when it comes to Christine....I stop at A...she goes to an E) I really love all of the girl's songs and duets from Jekyll and Hyde, I think I'd have the best chance of playing one of them or Fantine from Les Mis, because she exactly between the pure sop and a alto belter, which is pretty much me.

Well, we know that I'd like to play Fantine *g* I just love her character and am able to feel for her completely. Also Christine Daae, but my range is about a semitone short of that E. I'm working on it, though. Marguerite from The Scarlet Pimpernel would be a fantastic role to play. It looks like so much fun! Zara and Ida from Utopia Ltd and Princess Ida would be good roles too. I like their songs, and I think they're the best G&S heroines. And, impossible though it may be, I'd die to play Jekyll/Hyde. I've been trying to get my voices right for Confrontation lately ~Julia

Joseph - Joseph & His .... Coat My mind has gone blank now Buff

*giggle* I always laugh when I see you write "Joseph & His ... Coat". It looks like you're deleting an expletive or something.

I suppose it does. The real reason is laziness! Can't be bother typing the whole title and I'm bound to spell "Technicolour" wrong! Buff

Lol, well, it's a kind of tough word. I hate typing the Phantom of the Opera, thus POTO. I think that's so cool you want to play Jekyll/Hyde...I'd love to play a couple of the guys from Les Mis, actually I love all the guy parts.

I know. I just call it 'Joseph.' I can think of plenty of male parts which would be fun to play, but I think Jekyll/Hyde's the one I want to play the most. Buff, do you have any female parts you want to play? ~Julia

Belle - Beauty and the Beast, (don't know how I forgot that one, I LOVE beauty and the beast.)
Lily - Secret Garden
I've yet to see a good Eliza on stage, is it a high school production? I'm glad to hear she's good, a bad Eliza can ruin MFL.

One of my friends is a music teacher at the school and she said to me "She's good!" with that look in her eyes that said she was blowing them away at rehearsal. The music teacher knows what she's talking about. If she wasn't teaching, she would be playing in the Tassie Symphony Orchestra! Buff

I've got a friend who was Eliza in a concert version of MFL, and she was fantastic. In fact, It's probably safe to say that she was the only one in that cast who should have been on stage. I don't think very many people auditioned. Anyway, the next show she did, she was in the ensemble for Melbourne City Opera's production of Tosca And she was one of the finalists for singing the Australian anthem at Australia day. Or Anzac day. One of those. ~Julia
