Could anyone tell me, please, if anything is planned to celebrate this centenary year of the Tasmanian actor, singer, pianist, composer, and music and theatre critic, Max Oldaker (born, East Devonport, 1907; died, Launceston, 1972).
It seems inappropriate that this once popular artist spent a busy career in the theatre, yet only one recording of his is currently available for purchase, and that as part of a miscellaneous collection.

I haven't heard anything personally. It may be worth contacting Theatre North www.theatrenorth.com.au who run the Princess Theatre which has a room named after Max Oldaker wich includes some memorabilia. Buff

Thank you for that suggestion and for the information. I may arrange to travel to Launceston to see the room that you mention.
