Okay, so I'm figuring it's probably beyond time I got some dance training behind me since you don't seem to be able to really get anywhere without it, but I was wanting people's input on various schools, so I can work out what would be best.
It'll only be an evening course, but I'd like it to be somewhere that's fairly well recognised. However I've heard stories about bitchiness at some of the schools and would prefer to avoid that, but I think that's mostly the full time students anyway.
Any recommendations?

Leaps and Bounds in Elsternwick is very good...good teachers and a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. But it's very small and they will cancel classes at the extreme last second if there's not enough people enrolled. Studio D in Mt. Waverley I've heard wonderful things about but haven't checked them out yet. That *might* be where I'm going this year but I'm still looking for something closer. VCA run evening classes...as do CAE...but they may be more pricey, and are shorter courses as far as I know. But that'd probably be what you're after more or less? If you're interested solely in tap, Funk Tap whose classes are in Richmond...but I believe they're Saturdays, not evenings. But they're a lovely bunch of people and you can again take classes on a casual basis. And I've heard good things about The Space in Prahran (I mean their classes ) but I haven't actually been there myself yet. This has gotten me trying to figure out where I'm headed this year... Hawthorn Studio of Dance is looking good, and they have a wide range of classes. And City Dance Centre in Armadale is, if my memory serves correctly, the one Cara recommended very strongly.
