Does anyone know whether there are any groups in Melbourne who do musicals in foreign languages? Recently I've been thinking that it would be wonderful doing musicals in other languages, especially since there are so many which have gorgeous foreign versions.
Do you think a company like this would work?

Someone wants a French version of Les Mis so she can hear, (or sing) L'Un Vers L'Autre, but fair enough...it's a beautiful song.  I'm not too sure how popular it would be, it would definitely have to be in Melbourne or Sydney as there wouldn't be the demand for it over here...and it would probably only be mad theatre fan, (i.e. everyone here) and people who spoke the language that would go. But you said your version of Les Mis was so popular you got an extra night so I reckon there might be a demand for it...but I can't exactly answer your real question, wouldn't have a clue if there are any, certainly none here in Perth. |
