Very favourable review in The Age (see link below). www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/07/17/1058035131098.htmlThe performances have been praised again - gotta say this paragraph definitely sums up what I wrote in the bio section of my TC site This lively production sets the seal on the emergence of Tamsin Carroll as one of our major musical theatre stars. After impressive work in Oliver! and Hair, she dons a black wig and delivers a confident, stylish, expertly sung characterisation as Rosie, whose idea it is to have pop idol Conrad Birdie bestow a highly publicised farewell kiss on one lucky middle-American teenager before he is swallowed up by the draft.

I'm getting ready to go to BBB right now. I don't know if I'll end up making it to the stage door, but I'm looking forward to it all the same. Finally seeing Tamsin on stage!

Lucky!! I never liked the show when I saw it, but I saw a local high school production which really didn't do the show justice, so now of course I'm dying to see it properly. Hope you have fun Julia, well, hope your having fun as you are probably there now!

I had a wonderful time, but didn't get to the stage door because my friends wanted to get home, and I was quite tired myself.
Ann and Nadine, I hope you have/had better luck. And let us know what you thought!

Arrived back from Melbourne tonight - no luck last night with seeing any of the cast - though I did see Robyn Arthur leaving if that counts and one of my friends saw Spencer McLaren having a cigarette before the show started Bloody brilliant show. Shall put more in the other thread - though I'll put my full review on my site tonight sometime along with the quotes from the NewsRadio interview - which basically summed up all our thoughts.
