Can't even work out whether Annie is a professional or amateur show, for a start. *g* Buff, do you have any info on this? Am trying to find cast info etc, and can't find anything online. Do you know where I could find anything?

It's a professional one, it was done professionally in Australia with Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks. They actually wrote an extra song into the show for him and it's been incorporated into the show. But because there's alot of children parts and the adult roles aren't beyond older teenagers, it's commonly done by schools, (our school did it last year.)
I think there is a message board about Annie somewhere on the web, but I had difficulty finding information as well. :/

No, not that version! I saw that show though, it was great.
There's one in Tassie at the moment (or soon, anyway), that's the one I'm talking about.

As far as I'm aware, it's amateur. It may be some of the leads may get a small payment for travel and time taken off from work. I've heard that has happened in some of their past productions. It's a group based in Hobart called ExitLeft Productions. Very good group - do lots of high quality stuff. One of their main actors, John X, is a professional actor (he does lots of TV ads - latest one is for Celtic Force as the greek dancing guy) and is a driving force behind the group. I read in the Hello, Dolly! brochure that Danny Gibson is involved, and also in the Saturday Examienr that auditions for kids are coming up. Buff
