I was at Carols, and it really was the best year ever! We had spectacular seats! (Front of the grass area!) Gotta love being a Salvo, a group of 60 or so of us go each year, and there are shifts for the line! Plus, we have 'runners' and 'carriers' which basically means, people who run with the blankets to get the best seats, and people who carry the stuff to the seats!

Kane and Sylvie were by far the highlight. The Rock You guys were popular too! Marina was a big fave of all the people around us.

I have to say though, I don't think this group was televised, but there was a group called "Jam" before the show.... they were RIDICULOUS! They looked and sounded like Hi-5 rejects! It was hilarious though!

I think Guy did okay really...considering! Plus, they had all these security guards ready to pounce if you were going to run to the front of the stage. My friend and I got up to have a stretch and the guard looked like he was going to pounce us! I just laughed at him! Poor Guy! Getting mobbed everywhere he goes.... he's really just a normal person! Us Salvo's screamed loud (and got on the TV during his section) because we had sparklers.... many of the salvo's there knew Guy from his church singing days! hehe.

Me too!!! Which Corps (translation for non-Salvos - Church) do you go to? A fair chance we'll know some of the same people.

Buff!!! OMGOODNESS! That's so amazing!

I'm the youth worker at the Brunswick Corps!!

I'm in Adelaide at the moment for Double Impact and for Planet Shakers. Double impact is over now... last night was awesome!!! We sang Oh Boundless Salvation (all 7 verses!) and Send the fire, and everyone just went off!

So you're in Brisbane right? Do you know Paul Mergard? He's an old and dear friend!

I'll pm you my phone number, I always love meeting new salvos....salvos who love musicals are rarer than I thought!

Actually, Tassie - Launceston to be precise. There are some Tassie people in Adelaide for Double Impact - keep an eye out for them.
