The nominations for this year's Green Room Awards have been announced. Pretty much no surprises there, though I thought the TPC productions weren't eligible for GRA but apparently they are - the most successful out of the 3 was They're Playing Our Song. Cabaret's guaranteed a win in the Creative Design section since they have all the nominees there <g> Cabaret leads nominations with We Will Rock You, They're Playing Our Song, The Last Five Years, Joe Starts Again and Bye Bye Birdie all getting nominations as well. Not as many big names as last year nominated but still a good lot to choose from! www.greenroom.org.au/docs/2003noms.doc

Yes, I'm just typing out my thoughts as they come to me. My head's not capable of more right now. Guy Simpson got three nominations for MD...Although he probably deserves to get it, it would be amusing if he didn't. Yay for Annie (Best supporting female actor nom for WWRY) Lisa McCune for Cabaret? Okay then... Jonathan Hardy was nominated for A Tree, Falling. Yay! And Tripod were nominated for best Musical Direction/Arrangements? Amusing. Oh, and Best Original Music. Yay And best cabaret ensemble...

I'm back from Melbourne and I was kicking myself last night when I saw they had the GRA @ Her Majesty's Theatre. Even more so when I got on the plane to get back to Sydney today to have Nancy Hayes sitting 2 rows behind me on the flight *sigh* I think at least half the people on the flight were from the Logies and GRAs
