While the official cast list will not be announced for another couple of weeks, word is that Rhonda Burchmore is in talks to play Morgan La Fay in ACT Inc's production of Camelot. The production will open on 29th July at the National Theatre, in St Kilda. Discounted early bird tickets can be bought by calling 1300 136 273. (I actually auditioned for this production, but had no idea it was anything other than amateur. Oops. No wonder I didn't get in, considering I only decided to audition 2 days earlier Oh, and there are other posts I've been meaning to make around the board, but things have been hectic as hell, so might be a little while yet) ~Julia

Aha! Is this the company that has professional leads with non-pro chorus? And they did Brigadoon not long ago? If so, do they have a website? 'Cos I've been looking for ages

Actually, now that you mention it, that does sound about right. When I first saw the audition notice, I couldn't remember ever having heard of the company, but figured I might as well go along, and I tried to find a website then, but couldn't.

It was right near Chapel Off Chapel, in one of those horrid old buildings that feel as though they should be tenement buildings.

Oh...lovely I know which ones you mean. Thanks, at least I know that's close by, even if not exactly a place I'd want to go to one day.

I guess you guys are talking about "The Space". Its right near chapel off chapel and I think you'll find that about 1/2 of the professional auditions in melbourne are run there.
Also they run really good dance classes a lot cheaper than Dance Factory or Dance world. And they have great teachers like Andy Holesworth and Dana Jolly. Profesional choreographers working in Australia today.
Think about embracing this old building cause whats with in it is gold.

I guess I was just a little creeped out, because I wasn't expecting anything like that, and was already shaken by the fact that I was ushered right in even though I was really early, and had expected to sit and rest for a while (after having walked from Armadale)
