I know it's not a musical- BUT she is a musical gal... GUESS who will be gracing our screens as a new cast member of the Channel 7 tv show 'Headland'.....none other than our darling of music theatre - Lucy Durack! My housemate said he saw her yesterday and the word is that she is just starting now which means we wont see her on it for a while (they have been filming all year so are very ahead in their filming schedule) but then I am assuming we might see quite a bit of her!! AND they are dying her blonde locks brown for the role- which will be interesting- I have seen her as a brunette before and think she can pull off both and look stunning.... so there you go! PS Hi all, I haven't posted anything in a while- and apparently they've even changed my login name from Sarah B to Sarah B 2- I wonder if that's for a reason or someone is having a Bananas in Pajamas joke on me!!

I tried to watch this show, but I couldn't get through the first episode. The dialogue was terrible.

I didn't watch it long enough to catch character's names, but Steve Rogers - the guy with the white hair (when I saw it he was threatening a guy in hospital who had been in an accident) and I were in the same grade at high school. Always was interested in Speech & Drama Buff

I don't know what his character's name is either but I saw him in an STC show last year and he was excellent. The speech and drama obviously paid off! As to the quality of the show itself- I have it on good authority (I know a couple of people working in the production office) that in a few weeks time the show really settles in and gets really good (In fact they said 'Don't watch it yet!)... so we might have to wait til then....

So has Lucy been on Headlands yet? Has her first episode aired?? As to them 'dying her hair brown' Lucy has been a brunette for ages now, since she finished Mamma Mia, she actually does have dark hair and only went blonde when she was in 3rd year at WAAPA for 'The Pajama Game'. They have dyed her hair for the show just to make it really dark! It looks great, she is stunning anyways and I think I much prefer her with dark hair - altho she looks great with any colour!

Having mentioned Steve in my earlier post, I was able to catch up with him a couple of weeks ago at my 20 year high school renunion. Still the same guy I remember. Buff

Nice website, although I don't think it's been updated since she started Headland as her regular role- because it talks about her playing 'Vicki'- which was her guest role- when she was blonde- which I saw-hurrah! It was on just after Christmas. I know that her regular character was called 'Cassie'- sister of 'Mel'- as my friend's housemate also auditioned for the role. Regarding her hair colour- they did dye it brown for the show as she was blonde for Kiss Me Kate and Oklahoma (and her guest role on Headland). I agree I like her brunette- but I love her blonde- she looks so cute!-Have a look at the picture gallery on the website to see a few blonde shots- also- the Production Company website has some good ones also...In terms of her regular character- I don't think she's been on yet...but I keep forgetting to watch it now that it's changed time slots...must try harder! In other Lucy/ Sydney crew spotting- the same friend's housemate I just spoke of went to Sydney Hats Off on Monday at Star City and said Lucy looked AMAZING in a long Blue Dress and sounded HEAVENLY singing an operatic aria- and that Tim Draxl was also heavenly...he is quite heavenly though isn't he...?!

no the website isn't completel updated but it does mention she had secured the regular role! yeah when they dyed her hair to start filming it was so dark it was almost black lol will send you a pic if you want to see it just pm me (it's a pic of me with Lucy at xmas). she dyed her hair back to blonde purely for the proudction company season, but i agree she looks great either way! I hope it goes well for her, I will have to get my mum to tape it for me as we don't get it over here - altho what i saw of the show when i was home briefly - lol well let's just say Lucy is the only thing that would make me watch it lol oh well! she is sooo lovely which is such a refreshing change, i love her to bits! Glad she is doing so well she deserves it, you couldn't meet and nicer, more genuine person! and yes we all love Tim too! Glad to see he is back on the scene now!! aahh all while i am away!
