ABOUT the Magnormos Music Theatre Readings Program (MTRP)
A reading is a "read" performance of a work, with a concentrated focus on the actor and the text. The MTRP is
a program of rehearsed readings featuring some of Melbournes top performing talent.
Since inception in 2003, the MTRP has become renowned for presenting top quality renderings of musical
theatre ’gems’ with its own twist to this raw and exciting presentation style. Our 2005 season included the
smash-success Australian work A Bunch of Ratbags (starring Neighbours regular Ben Nicholas) and archy &
mehitabel (starring stage and screen veterans Jane Badler, Robert Grubb and Matt Hetherington).
