I've only ever had to audition with one song before (except for SoM last year, but that was just a mess), but I may need two for my G&D audition this year, so I was just wondering whether anyone could tell me how exactly this works. Do you just pick one of the songs and sing it, or let the panel choose, or what?

I've only done in once before when I auditioned for "Godspell". We were told they had to contrasting songs and we had to sing both. With "Godspell" there is a lot of contrasting styles of songs so I suppose it gave the auditioning panel an idea of what styles we were comfortable with which gave them an idea of what characters we could do. I understand why they need to hear two songs, but I was wondering about the audition itself. Do you just launch into one of the songs, or do you let the panel choose what you sing first?

In my audition, I choose which song I wanted first. Buff

For my Guys & Dolls audition.. I prepared two songs.. Halfway during Rubber Ducky.. I got cut off because I sucked. But my reading blew them away. (I know, I have contributed nothing to this thread.)
