Does anyone know anything about the show itself? I did a search using google, but didn't come up with much at all. Any info would be appreciated. Buff

Heya Buff....
As far as I remember (as I've only seen it once) it is a show that consists of 2 guys 2 girls (although a recent production in Sydney had 3 of each) and it is basically full of scenes and songs, all about relationships (of the romantic kind). So no story, just a show based on relationships. I think if memory serves the beginning of the show is people meeting each other, then goes through dating, marriage, having kids and ultimatley relationships in old age. Some are dramatic, most are comedic. Obviously each song and scene you are a new character so a good show for strong character actors/singers.
I hope that explanation isn't too confusing!

No, that's good. It confirms pretty much what I'd been able to find out: - cast of 4; - about relationships and various stages thereof; - each actor plays various characters. Because I couldn't find a synopsis as such, I assumed there was no "story" as such. Thanks Soph! Buff

Exactly what Soph said - no through-line, just little revue sketch scenes concerning a few people, all about relationships.
It's got some great music in it, and some brilliantly funny sketches.
(Soph, did you see the version at Bondi? I saw that one with 3 of each sex)

No I didn't get to see that one but saw the fliers. Was it good? Saw another production only, like, five months ago at the Zenith Theatre in Chatswood. Friends with both the guys in it (More damn waapa people!). I figured only one 'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change' a year is enough... soph xoxox

For those Melbourne people who are curious about the show, there's a production of it on during Comedy Festival, featuring a couple of friends of mine, and an ever so slightly larger cast than the standard. There's also a little more information about the show on the site, so take a look. www.geocities.com/stagecraft_productions/loveperfectchange.html

Oh I must have missed hearing about the Zenith production!
Yeah it was very good. There were a couple of UNSW (my uni) revue kiddies in it, so that added some fun. They were brilliant singers and character actors.

Hi guys. The show was also done by the Hobart Rep and finished up a couple of weeks ago. Didn't get to see it, but heard pretty good things. Cheers TF

Hi,
I made the trip south to see the Hobart rep production, and it was terrific!
Played to big houses throughout it's run, I believe.
It's revue, in style, and yes, the songs are excellent. Hobart Rep also cast 3 guys and 3 girls, and were accompanied by grand piano and one violin.
The set was simple, bit like a NY skyline.
Word of mouth did wonders for their attendances, too.
Cheers,
Mitzi.

I've heard a review from a friend who loved the show - thought it was hilarious. The local paper had a pretty good review as well, although it focused more on the show itself than what any of the performers were doing I'm seeing it tomorrow night with Mrs Buff. ;D Buff

What a great show! Both the show itself and the performance I saw of it. Loved it, loved it, loved it! I'll do a proper review when I have some time. Buff

I don't think I'll ever get around to doing a proper review, but I jsut wanted to say what a great show this is. Not just this production (which was excellent) but the show itself. There was only one scene that seemed out of place, but loved the rest of it. If you ever get the chance to see this show - go! Buff
