Rumours have made to here in Sydney that a Melbourne amateur production of "Into The Woods" by Monash Uni, features a few up and coming professional performers in the cast...any idea who these might be?!?! I know they did Ragtime last year and again managed to have pros perform the majority of the leads.
Seems in these quiet times, performers will gladly do any production to keep up their skills....

Well you don't have to a student, so its definately possible.
Being an Into the Woods freak and a Monash alumnus, I've been keeping an eye on this one.
I don't know the names, but here's the cast, and you can identify if anybody qualifies as an up and coming professional.
Tom Beaurepaire (Narrator) Paul Watson (Baker) Daria Ledovski (Baker's Wife) Natasha Bassett (Witch) Krista Demiris (Rapunzel) Alex Clover (Cinderella) Sarah Davies (Cindy's Mum/Granny) Sarah Younger (Stepmother) Michelle Thomas (Stepsister) Francesca Leoncio (Stepsister) Will Atkinson (Cindy's Father) Sean Harrison (Jack) Emily Nathan (Jack's Mother) Lucy Hotchins (Little Red) Jordan Reid (Wolf) Ryan Jacobs (Wolf) David Seelig (Wolf) John Englezios (Mysterious Man) Jordan Reid (Cindy's Prince) Tristan Hill (Rapunzel's Prince) Nathan Goode (Steward)
+ an ensemble.
Now I hated the two wolf concept, I'm really worried about what they intend to do with three.

I know that Natasha will be amazing. She's a very versatile performer, going from Florence in Nova's Chess to Mme Thenardier in my Les Mis, so should be able to pull off the demanding role of the Witch easily.

Latest news is that Jordan Ried has pulled out of the production of Into the Woods and now Dave Seelig will replace him as the Prince and our very own Ryan Jacobs will step into the Wolf role.
