Seeing the number of reviews for the various shows, I was wondering: What shows have you seen more than one performance of? And how many did you see? I've only ever seen one performance of any show Buff

I've seen WWRY twice, and The Full Monty three times. I don't remember the reason for the second time, but the third time I needed to do that present for the cast.
I doubt I'll see The Producers more than once, because the tickets are so expensive! But for a lot of shows at the VAC, the student tickets are cheap enough that it feels like I'm not spending a fortune on the shows. So I'll almost certainly see Urinetown a couple of times.

Same problem, tickets being so expensive...and plus I am generally limited to weekend shows only. Anyway I saw Singin' In The Rain twice and Oliver! twice. And I suppose I could also say I saw Malvern's Nunsense thirty-odd times ;D

*g* Are you sure you want to know? I've seen a lot of shows more than once. Okay. I might have to dig out programmes for this.
Witches of Eastwick I saw.. 3 times, I think. POSSIBLY 4. CATS was twice and I was rather sad I couldn't see it more as it is one of my two favourite musicals. FAME - more times than I want to count. I probably paid for about 6 or 7 tickets and we snuck into second act a lot. *g* Singin' in the Rain - Umm.. I think around the 5 show mark for that one. Or 6, come to think of it. Happy Days I saw twice. RENT I saw 12 and a half times. And We Will Rock You I've seen 4 times.
I think that's it.

Okay I can't remember how many times I saw Phantom of the Opera when it was in Sydney - I think it might have been 3 though I know my parents saw it an extra time than me <g>
Of recent years (can I include theatre productions here as well?) <g>
Beauty and the Beast - twice (1 - Melb, 1 - Sydney) Annie - Twice (2 x Syd, incl. closing night) Cabaret - twice (1 - Melb, 1 - Sydney)
Proof (1 x Melbourne - 2002 and 3 x Sydney - 2003) - 4 times. The Sound of Music - 4 times (2 x Syd, incl. closing night, 1 x Melb, 1 x Brisbane) Oliver! - 4 times (2 x Syd, 2 x Melb)
*****
After Sunday, you can most likely add The Republic of Myopia to the twice column (2 x Sydney)

Same as Buff, I've only ever seen shows once mainly due to monetary issues. Tickets are just so expensive that unless I absolutely love something I don't see it twice. And of course I was too young and naive to see Phantom at least 20 times when it came. I have seen Singin in the Rain, Mamma Mia, Les Mis, Cats and Phantom professionally though.

On Broadway/the West End, I have seen: The Producers twice POTO twice (plus once in the travelling company) Into the Woods twice Les Mis twice and I'm currently trying to see Wicked again Twelfth Night three times (once on Broadway, once at the Globe, once by the RSC) and at least twice by community/high school theatres, possibly more A Midsummer Night's Dream twice (once on Broadway, once at the Globe) and at least once by a high school theatre...though I'm pretty sure I saw both casts of that, so twice The Complete Works of William Shakespeare...or whatever that play is called, twice (both in London)
Not on Broadway (or once on Broadway, the rest not), I have seen: Joseph... 4 1/2 times (one Broadway, one elementary school, one childrens' theatre, one and a half high school) Peter Pan twice (one previews for Broadway, one childrens' theatre) Little Shop of Horros twice (one Broadway, one childrens' theatre) Annie twice (one Broadway, one elementary school) Oklahoma twice (one Broadway, one elementary school, though I don't really remember that one) You're a Good Man Charlie Brown twice (one Broadway, one camp production)
...And I think that's it, at the moment. Wow. That's kind of...disturbing...

Okay this could be a long one: Firstly, I saw Les Mis four times. Twice here Twice in London! RENT - 12 and a half (like Lana...saw the half with Lana! ) And once on Broadway FAME - So many more times than I dare say, I barely paid for a ticket though so that's okay... I saw it in three states, including closing in Sydney (matinee and evening) and closing in Melbourne and the overall closing in Adelaide! Did I love the show? Not overly, but there were some fabulous people in it and I made some spectacular friends...the best I could ask for in fact! SHOUT - Any more than once was too many times for this show, but I saw it about six times (my friend was in it, so I justify it! ) Leader of the Pack - twice...great show! We Will Rock You - About six times on two different continents! Hair - three times, once in Sydney twice here. I think that's all the multiples I've seen.... Lana prompt me if there's more!

The only musical I've seen more than once so far is We Will Rock You, and that was because I wanted to see a specific understudy's performance.
I didn't even go back to Witches of Eastwick despite the malfunction at the start of the flying bit. I regret it now. It's pretty much my favourite cast recording now.

James, which understudy did you go to see for WWRY? LOL! That would be Christina Tan as Scaramouche. If that story sounds familiar it's because you've probably seen it on the official WWRY forums, with me as Mr Fahrenheit. Which is quite possibly why you asked that question. James

I am a poor high school student, and have no part-time job so I can only usually afford to go once - or convince people to buy me a ticket.
I've seen: Singin' in the Rain (once, my grandparents took me)
Oliver (once, parents took me as a holiday treat)
Cabaret (once, grandparents took me)
Hair (the only show i've seen twice- once with my aunt and cousin as a gift, the other time I paid for and went with friends)
We Will Rock You (once, as a birthday present from parents)
The Full Monty (once, grandparents took me).
And I am going to see Urinetown and being taken by my grandparents ..... if I had a job I would see more stuff more than once.
I wish I would have seen RENT
