Still waiting for the Carols in the Domain and Carols by Candlelight line-ups, as well as Mordialloc Carols by the Bay, which is usually brilliant, but I have one in Camberwell, with Silvie Paladino this Sunday. www.camberwellgirls.net/events.htm

This is Carols in the Domain, and I'm really hoping this isn't the full line-up. It can't be, surely?

That pretty much sums up what we've got in going on in terms of arts in Sydney over the Summer.
Melbourne sure as hell will outdo us again this year.

Go the Salvos!! I was talking to one of the people in that choir last weekend. Small world! The Launceston Carols by Candlelight will be on Sunday 18th December in the City Park. I know the "Fellas" are singing (a 7 piece male voice group from the Launceston Church Grammar School) as is John de Jong, but other than that I know nothing! A community choir is rehearsing Thursday nights for the event as well. Buff

Okay, got some of the Carols by Candlelight line-up, and not brilliant so far, but at least better than Domain.
* Anthony Callea * Guy Sebastian * Marina Prior * Debra Byrne * Natalie Bassingthwaighte * Denis Walter * Daryl Somers
Yes, you read that correctly. Not one, but two Australian Idol types. At least we have Marina and Nat.

More Carols by Candlelight: cast of the Lion King, David Hobson, David Campbell, Tamsin Carroll, and Hi-5. (So hopefully by being late, I'll miss them go through their number 27 times) Also..."ARIA Award-winning artist Anthony Callea will make an encore performance when he sings a duet with another Carols favourite Silvie Paladino." Comments on that? Oh and make that three Idols, Kate whatshername will be there too.

You're doing better than me. I didn't know there was a Kate.
Oh, and speaking of Hi-5, I just saw the U.S. franchise on Today. They were a direct rip off, I half expected their names to be the same as well. Apparantly it airs on Discovery Kids. Jeepers, I thought there were too many discovery channels here.

Definitely The Prayer. Now, I'll just be off cringing in a corner somewhere.
In better news, Mordialloc Carols will be including Rachael and Ian again.
Sunday December 18 will see this year's Christmas Carols by the Bay. It's set to be our biggest and best ever with a great line-up and the St Kilda football club running warm up activities.
The main concert begins at 8.15pm at Peter Scullin Reserve on the Mordialloc Foreshore (Melways Ref 92 E1).
The St Kilda Football Club will host clinics and activities from 5pm, the pre-concert entertainment with Humphrey B Bear starts at 6.30pm.
Performers include: Carols night Joe Camilleri Debra Conway Kate Kendall (Stingers) Ian Stenlake (star of the musical Oaklahoma, Eureka) Rachael Beck Annalisa Kerrigan (opera star) Andrew Jones (opera star) Nichaud Fitzgibbon (jazz performer) Jane Clifton Lucy Gale Roxanne Dew & the RAAF Central Band.
This is an alcohol-free and a dog-free event.
Limited seating is available at the front of the stage (contact Hazel Pierce on 9580 8841 to reserve a spot) or bring a rug and sit on the hill for free.

Annalisa Kerrigan (opera star) Was she the one who was there last year who I absolutely adored? Or was that someone else?
