This year's theme is Legends, and will include Caroline O’Connor, Shauna Jensen, Shaun Rennie, Susan Ann Walker, Scott Irwin and, making her live singing debut, drag diva Mitzi Macintosh.

And, appropriately enough, Luke Barron and the boy from the Legends cabaret show ( wayakka.proboards18.com/index.cgi?board=cabaret&action=display&thread=1137461439 ) will be doing a segment from that show

Still waiting on a full cast list for the night, though.

I can't go this year *grr* got damn relatives from overseas arriving this afternoon for a week - so any plans I had for the week just went totally out the window.

As I just said in the Headland forum- I didn't unfortunately (I didn't realise it was on- I have not been keeping up to date! Tsk Tsk!)-but sources (Friend's Housemate 'in the know' and her friends) say it was great- they had the performers tributing legends in the 1st part of the show, where highlights were Lucy, Tim and Caroline O'Connor- who was- of course-apparently just amazing, and in the second half they had actual legends of the Australian Theatre such as Jeannie Little, Toni Lamond, Nancye Hayes, Barry Crocker and a few more who I forget- and they all came together after singing their individual numbers and sang 'I'm Still Here'- each legend's verse had been rewritten to be about their own lives and they put up big screens on the sides of the theatre with pictures and video footage of these legends in their prime...sounds so good- can't believe I missed it...but as you can tell I quizzed those clever enough to realise it was on to within an inch of their lives! The only criticism they gave was that they had some Drag queens dancing with real dancers in something from 'A Chorus Line' and they look a bit weird together apparently- a bit messy...but sounds like a great night all in all...
