Okay, so I've been meaning to type this up for ages. It's a list of possibilities for roles in Paris, if it were to be played professionally any time soon.
Paris (Naive, cute, a bit stupid really, romantic lead) - Matt Lee, David Campbell (We just wanted him in musicals again, mostly. That's where he belongs), Kane Alexander
Helen (Beautiful, intelligent, tormented, female romantic lead) - Rachael Beck (although I'm afraid she might play the character as a little too strong), Amanda Harrison, Ana Maria Belo, Lisa Marie Charambolous
Hector (A strong leader, but not as strong as Achilles, doesn't need to be superb vocally (Was sung by Jon English in CD)) - Rodger Corser
Cassandra ("The hysterical oracle", probably most tormented character, needs strong voice)- Amanda Harrison, Danielle Playel, Tamsin Carroll, Delia Hannah
Hecuba (Mother of Paris, Hector and Cassandra, alto, doesn't sing all that much) - This really could be any of the older performers.
Priam (Father of P, H and C, I think he's got a few low notes, again doesn't sing a lot) - Perhaps Peter Carroll (another father/daughter role, perhaps ), Rob Guest...
Laocoen (Priest, only one who believes Cassandra, tenor, fairly dramatic suicide scene) - Justin Smith
Aeneas (Random Trojan nobleman, goes to Greece with Paris, baritone, not many other distinguishable features) - Could be nearly anyone
Menelaus (Helen's husband, needs to have a very good low range. He goes down there a bit) - Juan Jackson, John Wood
Agamemnon (Menelaus' brother, cunning, greedy, sly) - Markham Gannon, Mitchell Butel
Achilles (The Leader, has to be physically imposing and fierce) - Jason Chong, John Grey, Michael Cormick, Mark Dickinson
Patroclus (Achilles' best friend, needs to be good at angst (sung by Philip Quast), dies in Achilles' place, some resemblance to Achilles useful, but not necessary) - Peter Murphy, Matt Hetherington, Rodney Dobson, Mark Dickinson
Ulysses (The most reluctant of the Greeks to fight, intelligent, doomed) - Luke Hunter, Damien Aylward, Scott Irwin
Ajax (Random Greek nobleman, mostly) - Damien Aylward
Sinon, Talthybius, Thersites (Three Spartan soldiers, fools, are drunk in their big number) - Mitchell Butel, Wayne Scott Kermond, David Harris, Rodney Dobson, Chris Pickard, Tony Taylor
Handmaiden (Helen's maid, sweet) - Kate Hoolihan, Danielle Barnes, Prinnie Stevens
