I've never seen or heard much of WICKED, so I can't be sure who would be the appropriate cast. Who does everyone else think would be better as Galinda- Sharon Millerchip or Natalie Bassingthwaite? From what I've heard, I think it's safe to say Amanda Harrison is the PERFECT choice for Elphaba. I would love to see Sharon in a big musical again. But, maybe, Natalie would be a better choice. Sho what do you guys think?

I'd choose Natalie. But having said that, I'll admit I've never actually seen Sharon onstage (That'll change after Leading Ladies, so ask me again then  ), so can't say for sure that she wouldn't be better, but it seems quite a Natalie role. Although I do like the idea of a Galinda who's naturally brunette and an Elphaba who's naturally blonde, just for the thought of the fun one could have in rehearsals when it gets to the lines where Elphaba's making comments about Galinda being blonde |

I am incredibly biased given that I'm a HUGE Nat Bassingthwaite fan!  But she would be so so so brilliant! Sharon's great too, but Nat is just awesome. Plus Wicked on Broadway has so many RENT connections (shared cast members, shared fans, similar ticket deals etc) and I'd like to keep that going! |

Having now seen both of them on stage - although granted not much for either, but enough (I think) to pass judgement - my choice would definitely be for Sharon Millerchip. |
