I'm still leaning towards Amanda Muggleton I can mostly see it. But I hadn't thought of Morrible much, and then I keep thinking too much of bookverse Morrible.

I know I'm completely biased here, but in all seriousness, why when there's a role for an "older" (as in out of their 20's!) woman do people immediately jump to the idea of Judi Conelli or Geraldine Turner? (Or if it's a dancy type one, Rhonda Burchmore) I dunno... it's just getting a bit tired for my liking.

I agree with you Rockaus - the same old names again and again. I doubt that these people really create too much interest among ticket buyers.

dear yonkers. you are always SO right. Ausiences so hate these women. HATE them. I know for a fact that seeing such tremendous women give consistently excellent performances would not attract me as an audience member if they were cast in something that suited them down to the ground again.
PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!
who would you like to see? I am sure ticket buyers DO find these people appealing as they are very good at what they do and they are very suited to these roles. so of course they are the first port of call when people theorise a cast.
However, i believe that its a SHOW that sparks a ticket buyers interest. i think that has been proven. and these suggestions are all very fine performers who could do the job brilliantly. please make some suggestions yourself instead of constantly criticising opinions. no problem with the criticism if you have some kind of worthy suggestion yourself once in a while.
would you have someone fresh and new as morrible? someone out of the ordinary? someone completely unexpected? perhaps sally from home and away? or maybe an olympic athlete, or doctor cindy pan? That would be different wouldn't it?- and thats whats so important.
you know yonkers you are always so right. i hope that all the people who have made names in the business (and careers of longevity from being audience favourites) ALL STOP WORKING because you are tired of hearing their names over and over again. Oh, I hear ya Yonkers- why should the talented famous people have a career when they are so successful? I am sick of hearing warlow's name, patinkin's name, mccune's name, paladino's name, prior's name, bernadette peters name, burchmore's name, christin chenoweth's name, phillip quasts name....lets get em all out of the business and not see them in any more roles that suit them so we dont have to hear these predictable names again and again.
PS Yonkers, you truly annoy me. And i hope I annoy you back just as much.

Flames - you lunatic, why jump down my throat I was agreeing with Rockaus - so have a go at her/him. If you bothered to read the casting suggestions made in the WICKED threads you would have seen my suggestions - all talented and valid choices. Sad truth is that really none of the names in the poll would create much interest to ticket buyers and unless the New York Producers suddenly lower the asking price for the Rights you'll never see the show here anyway.
Now take your medication and go sit in the corner quietly, OK?

Okay, can we tone down on the personal attacks here. Flames, we know you don't like Yonkers, but that's just provocation and I can't let it pass without a warning.

Thank you Talissa.
'Flames' I don't hate you, (hate is such a strong word isn't it?) I do, in your present state of mind feel sorry for you. You seem somewhat unhinged. I'm not buying into your provocation and baiting.

Whoa, sorry, didn't mean to start an all-out brawl on this one... please don't think I have a problem with any of the women mentioned, they are amazing performers. I'm just so sick of it being "Same cast different show" in Australia, when we have such awesome performers working as telemarketers or in cafes because they can't get a gig because they're not a big enough "name". It's one of my biggest bugbears about our industry (that and flippen ticket prices, and never getting the best shows!!!)... so yuh...sorry if anyone took it any other way... I'm just tired of seeing the same people in every show, and love seeing 'fresh blood'... so to speak (not that maria is fresh, but I'm sick of her getting people's sloppy seconds too!)
