Just posting an email from Kookaburra regarding submissions for The Nest.
Hi from THE NEST,
It’s been an exciting few months with our Script Assessment Service getting underway. We have received many enquiries and shows have started coming in.
Kookaburra’s responsibility as the National Musical Theatre Company is to explore, develop and support new initiatives in musical theatre in Australia.
We’re in the process of finalizing our panel of assessors but can confirm that the following people are on board with a few more people being confirmed this month.
Gale Edwards, Terry O’Connoll and Michael Tyack
Anyone wishing to submit to THE NEST does not need to have fully completed a musical to submit work. A writer or composer may have a great story or a few songs and may need input to continue.
Level One is perfect for this process to gain professional feedback. It can help clarify whether a new work should continue in that direction or move on to a new idea. A strong story line will be the corner stone of any new work.
