Tamsin Carrol is going to be in Compnay in Sydney with David Campbell according to an article on another website:

Tamsin Carroll will return to the musical stage for the first time since her Helpmann Award-winning performance in Dusty to appear in the Kookaburra musical Company later this year, AussieTheatre.com can reveal.

Company is scheduled to open at the Theatre Royal in June and apart from previously announced lead cast member David Campbell, the show will also star Katrina Retallick, Simon Burke, Natalie Alexopoulos, James Millar, Pippa Grandison, Rodney Dobson, Scott Irwin, Anne Looby, Trisha Crowe and Christie Whelan.

Company concerns the relationships between Bobby, a single man who is celebrating his 35th birthday, and the five married couples who are his best friends. It was the first musical to deal with adult relationships through its music. Among the memorable songs in the show are The Little Things You Do Together, Another Hundred People, The Ladies Who Lunch, and the hit musical theatre anthem Being Alive.
Company ran for 706 performances on Broadway and went on to win the New York Drama Critics Circle Award and the Tony Award for Best Musical. This musical is almost universally beloved as one of the classics of Musical Theatre.

Lucy Durack had previously been announced in the Company cast but she departed the show to take up a major role in the musical Respect, which commences preview performances in Brisbane this week ahead of a national tour.

ok, so who has seen it? I saw it yesterday. I think the most disappointing song was "You can drive a person crazy" - it wasn't very together and it didn't feel secure. Tamsin Carroll in general disappointed me - I didn't particularly like her "Another Hundred People" I loved the costume design - each couple in a different colour. Choreography and sets were both excellent. Chelsea Plumley as Amy was fantastic and I really liked Katrina Retallick and Christie Whelan (I think Katrina would make an excellent Glinda for the coming Wicked!). Overall an EXCELLENT production, far superior to Pippin. Any other views?

The show was really great. Such a shame to be tarnished by Cousens' stupidity.

She started at the Saturday matinee performance from what they were talking about on Sunday. I went to the Sunday performance the theatre was about 75% full (downstairs couldn't tell the amount up in the dress circle).

Chloe was great as April especially on the turnaround she had to step into the role.

Overall I thought the production was great I just had one slight little beef. When they sang the song Company the music sometimes overshadowed the performers that you couldn't hear them on stage. It was the only song where it happened made it a tad distracting.

As I said thought overall all the performers were great though

"It's very cute actually... sometimes they do pretendy yelling at each other".

I will post my review for what it's worth. I'm a big David Campbell fan already so I expect to be suitably impressed.

I'm not sure what Kookaburra's reasonings are, but they have adopted a 'No Understudies' policy, similar to many straight theatre companies.

I can understand that it's tougher to have understudies in a show in which there is no ensmble, so you're employing people to simply be on standby, but that's what pro opera companies have to do.

Hopefully, after having to cancel performances of both Pippin and Company this year, they'll be changing their no understudies policy!
