The first show is fairly nuts... the second surrounded in controversy... the third cancelled. This isn't a great start for a theatre company.

I think its really sad actually. It really had a lot of potential to put on some excellent shows. I really hope next year goes more to plan.

It is sad, but I do hope they plan to seriously rethink what they're doing next year, because some of the mess-ups this year were hard to forgive. At least cancelling FC probably was their best option, especially considering their main audience for it would have been by intention the people they'd wooed over from the first two productions. I can't imagine there are as many of them as there would have been without the messes. Hannah, don't forget the cancelled performances in Pippin, too. They're why I avoid saying too much about Kookaburra in public because flying to Sydney to find a cancelled performance didn't leave me feeling at all charitable towards the company, and the continuing problems haven't stopped me from feeling wary. I wouldn't have gone up for Company if I hadn't also wanted to see Spelling Bee. And I'm apparently in a bit of a ranting mood. Don't mind me

I didn't know they cancelled performances of Pippin! Hmmm... I think the company needs a real producer, not an actor pretending to be one. His heart is (generally) in the right place, but he just doesn't have the goods to control the company and make it work.
