Hi,
Does anyone know of a good place to find auditions taht are in perth; western australia? I am 16 and most of the auditions i find are for older people or over in the eastern states.

Hi Crystal  Nice to have you here. No, I don't know of any auditions straight away. Have you tried www.theatre.asn.au ? Eowyn, another poster here, also lives in Perth, so perhaps you could help each other hunt. Have you ever tried auditioning for an adult show? I was 17 when I started Les Mis, which was my first show, and I know some other companies cast people younger than that, so it's worth a try. ~Julia Oh yes, and this should probably be in the Auditions board, so I'm shifting it across for you  |

I had a little look for you, and I found auditions for South Pacific in August: www.theatre.asn.au/eventView.php3?event_id=3179which need a principal aged 15 - 17, but she's a dancer. How's your dancing? It looks like it will be a cast of fairly mixed ages, though. ~Julia |

Hey Crystal I live in Perth as well so I can sympathise with the lack of auditions for sure. But definitely try out for South Pacific if your a dancer, (or even not...there are chorus roles avaliable) Unfortunately I am not a dancer, to say the least...and with TEE (HSC) coming up I somehow doubt I'll have time. |
