So, anyone go to either of the shows, Melbourne or Sydney? I couldn't go myself because I had an audition, but I'd love to hear about them, so please, review!

I couldn't go myself because I had an audition, but I'd love to hear about them, so please, review! ~Julia I went to the Sydney show - it was an absolutely hilarious in some parts - they raised over $20,000 which was a good result. The two highlights for me on top of all the great performers were Stuart Wagstaff rapping Waltzing Matilda <g> and Peter Carroll singing "Don't Let Your Daughter On the Stage"... which of course resulted in Tamsin coming on stage and giving her father a dirty look We got to hear a song from the new musical "Republic of Myopia" - had 3 performers on stage last night from the new production (two Carrolls + Mitchell Butel). Overall it was a great night, raised some money and got to see some performers let their hair down - of course next time that happens I wish my friend wouldn't leave me there alone when they all wandered in my direction (especially those I admire as performers)

It sounds like a fantastic night. I'm definitely not letting myself be doublebooked next year What was the song from Republic of Myopia like? It sounds really interesting. When will it be on? And thanks for reviewing ~Julia

And thanks for reviewing ~Julia Tamsin sang Poverty from The Republic of Myopia - there's a cast briefing for TRoM and Harbour in December sometime, while they'll be doing the Night with the Actors for 2 Mondays in a row - because I'm a STC subscriber I managed to get my subscription early for a change and got both the NwtA Still in two minds whether I'll go to the one in December though - tossing and turning about that one and also the Cabaret night they've got on this Sunday with Peter, Mitchell and basically the whole TRoM cast *sigh*. Also Mitchell sang a song called Flight but they didn't say what it was from - so I'll have to double check but it could be from another musical he's done as well. Nadine

Noel Coward if I'm not mistaken. I saw a "last Night of the Proms" on TV a few years ago and Jeremy Irons sang it. A classic. Buff
