The Full Monty - 10/2

I saw the show again tonight, and everyone was in brilliant form. Matt improves tremendously every time I see it, and I can see improvement in most of the others, as well. Of course, the standout performers, like Rodney and Queenie, are about as good as ever. I honestly don't think it would be humanly able to improve much from their performances.

I left a gift for them all before a show; a box of jellybeans, with paper cranes, each one with the name of a cast member (a trademark of mine, so please avoid copying it), and a letter. Afterwards I had half the cast gushing at me over it. Let's see...who was there? Val, Michael, Milton, Maryanne, Danielle, Queenie, Deone, Richard (he gave me a hug. He's lovely. Well, they all are), Aaron, Paul, Emma, and Scott Hendry. And when I told them how great a show it was, they told me that it was all because of the jellybeans, because they were on a sugar high. They did go through almost 1.5 kgs of jellybeans. And that was before Milton even saw them, so I can just imagine how quickly they went. Well, whatever it was, they were brilliant.

Okay, so it's more of a 'let's gush over how sweet the cast is' than a review, but hey, they were fantastic. What more can I say? I don't think I even spotted any stuff-ups.

Oh! That was something I was meaning to ask you. Did you mention a trumpet player you know called David Newdick? He's in the orchestra for the show. I don't remember whether you mentioned it before, but I noticed when I looked through the program again yesterday.

Yeah, DJ's a great player.

He was also in the orchaestra for "Singing in the Rain". Other credits - "Hey Hey it's Saturday" band and the movie "Crackers" (any trumpet playing you hear eg grandpa walking out playing a trumpet, is DJ)
