Isn't he gorgeous ;D He and Marina were on GMA this morning as well - apparently they also sang but if they did it was in the 15 minutes of GMA that I missed

Marina and Scott sang on GMA Tuesday morning. She is so very wrong for this role. Did they cast her in the belief that she sells tickets? We know she doesn't, Eastwick and Noises Off proved that!

Did you end up seeing AGYG? You'd have been pleasantly surprised; Marina was PERFECT for the role. I don't reckon anyone else could have done it even half as brilliantly as she did Who else saw AGYG? I wanna know if anyone else absolutely fell in love with it as much as I did ;D

I did. It was brilliant. I'd never seen Marina (been on my to-do list for a while now!) or AGYG but I totally fell in love with both. Loved the whole production and the simplicity of it - it's nice to see something which doesnt have to rely on excessive staging/effects or a bunch of old pop songs to be good, the material & cast here really worked well. The way it should be.

Saw the last show last night of AGYG - wonderful production.
Marina was brilliant in the role as was Scott as Frank....
I was tossing and turning over which production I like better this year HS or AGYG - it'll sure be interesting to see which performers get nom'd for awards next year - it wouldn't surprise me if David, Marina and Tamsin (and quite possibly Scott) snuck in for a nomination or two next year (most likely at the Green Room Awards)..

If Marina and Tamsin aren't nominated I'll eat my hat I don't know who I'd pick to win though...and that's not just Tamsin-worship fighting with Marina-adoration, they were both just so bloody brilliant. And in trying to decide, what keeps popping into my head is a very slurred "George! Do you know what you are? A world-class sourpuss!" For the guys, I'd be saying Simon and Scott. On the whole while I liked Carousel a lot, and wept at the end, I just didn't feel it was on par with HS and AGYG. Hence that was the one I only saw once

And not to mention the "morning after" and esp. not being able to open her eyes (and suddenly, they're open!) Whoops, taken over the AGYG thread Marina! Was anyone else really moved by the end of Act 1? Because I was almost in tears, both times. I loved how funny the 2nd act was - the first one you get the occasional random laughs, the second one just had the audience in stitches almost the entire time

This guy next to me had a tissue out at the end of the first act <g> I was very close to tears *sigh* 2nd act was definitely funnier than the first - I just adore all the songs in AGYG. I was thinking for a moment in the middle of the 2nd act that Gary Downs was being typecast - Nicky Wendt was hilarious especially in the 2nd act
