Haha! ;D 'and you can tell a WAPAA graduate a mile away.... MT in it's truest sense! ' True dat!! Although some people are very cynical of WAAPA grads - saying that a degree doesn't mean you are 'good' and that now that you're 'out' - 'welcome to the real world.' Whatever... we're all here to do the same thing - perform!! Brent St is great... I love how much technique they've all got... I wish we did more dance... So I guess you're based in Melbourne RockAus?? Lucky... it seems everything is happening there at the moment. MC

Yeah I'm from Melbourne MC! I used to HATE living in Melbourne, because all the great stuff happened in Sydney, and all my mates in theatre lived there, but lately that's really changed and Melbourne is becoming the place to be!!!
I LOVE WAPAA GRADUATES! They just bring so much to theatre, a lost art form! I don't know if Troy Sussman ever went to WAPAA but he fits in that category and he's one of my fave people to watch on stage! Yeah, true many of them don't fit into the more 'funky' musicals out now, or the 'dance' shows we tend to be putting a lot out of...but in the same way, nobody can do shows like Les Mis like them!!!! There is good points for both. I'd like to watch the more modern musicals filled with Brent Streeters, but I much prefer watching the WAPAA guys in traditional musicals!
I hate the competition that seems to have developed! I mean both are the most credible courses in the country, for entirely different reasons!
Yeah you're so right about the Brent Streeters technique. You can spot it a mile away, but I love it! And I love watching them do freestyle dancing altogether! It's great! They have the same techniques but different style in that... LOVE IT!

Wow, that's so nice to hear RockAus!!! I LOVE Melbourne... so many of my friends are moving there cos that's where everything is theatre-wise. I guess you would know, seeing as you've seen EVERYTHING! Yeah, I guess we could do a mean 'Les Mis' and completely ruin 'Oh What a Night.' But I think it's cos the course is so heavily focused on acting and telling the story... which is so good. I hate the competition too... but, hey, it's healthy! I'd love to be able to dance like the Brent Streeters!!! They're so funky. I've seen them do all of the Justin Timberlake moves and it just looks so cool!!! Do you dance much RockAus?? I have to get my fat @$$ into gear and go to Sydney Dance Classes otherwise I am dead for next year!! MC

Hahaha me dance? HELL NO! I can move, but dancing is SOOOO off the cards for me! Not a dancer AT ALL! But I've got a lot of friends who are dancers! In fact, the dance stuff is the only reason I don't do mt! I go alright in vocal and acting auditions, but I SUCK at dance auditions!!! So bye bye me! I agree, it's healthy to have competition!
