As confirmed in today's Examiner, PTB will be presenting "A Chorus Line" in October. PTB have their contract sorted with Tams-Witmark and the Launceston Players have agreed to not exercise their right to perform the show. It's been messy, but hopefully now all parties can Buff

One thing that caught my eye, but keep forgetting to mention - what was "Icons" about. The only ad I saw for it was on the PTB website. Buff

Certainly a number of people around this town seem to know this person intimately... and have immediate access to information that Mr Jackson has gathered by what can only be questionable means. ... But those in "THE KNOW" refuse to identify Mr Jackson of course! As far as I know, no one knows who this person is. There are a lot of people with their own personal agendas operating within the Launceston theatre scene, and it's unfortunate their actions damage not only the integrity of theatre, but of hard-working artists involved. People are getting hurt. Not everyone has the resilience to weather it. Here here - wouldn't it be nice to do a show with no nasty stuff - but unfortunately this is the nature of theatre "big personalities" I know personally I do shows - to have fun, meet people and perform!! When you decide to be involved in a show you hope that people are honest and understand that everyone involved think long and hard about the time that they are about to dedicate. Too true. I've done 24 shows and there's only one that was truly hassle free - the biggest issue was where to have the post-rehearsal drink. If only all show experiences were as great as that one... oh well. One thing that caught my eye, but keep forgetting to mention - what was "Icons" about. The only ad I saw for it was on the PTB website. Icons was a collection of songs performed in the likeness of the original performer, with a projector showing images of the Icons. Performers were Peter Harvey, Brendon Markos, Cindy Foster, Kelly Davies, Judy Davies, Melissa Wimmer, Hannah Saunders, Josh Lowe, Summer Edmunds, Mark Edmunds. (I'm pretty sure that's everyone.) Icons represented included Dean Martin, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Barbra Streisand, Sonny and Cher, John Lennon, Buddy Holly, Elton John, ABBA. Interesting concept, well executed.

I am extremely disappointed with the rumour that I am behind the Peter Jackson emails. It's upsetting that my personal integrity is in question, because I hate liars and lying. I was happy to leave the issues I had with Chorus Line in the past, I was ready to move on, and had said so publicly. I had hoped people knew me well enough to take my words at face value. I was wrong.
For the record: I am not Peter Jackson.
I'm sick of the whole debate.

I must be out of the loop - I hadn't heard that rumour. I don't know you that well really, but if any thinks you would do that kind of thing, they don't know you at all. Having said that, I think the whole "A Chorus Line" controversy has done it's dash. It's now finished in the theatre world, and so it's now finished on this board. Let's get back to talking about the positive things happening in Tassie Theatre. Buff

To demonstrate how out of the loop Buff is:
O (this is the loop) .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Buff!
I amuse myself so much.
I completely and wholeheartedly agree. Positive things in Tassie theatre: One Night Stand is looking great. A highlight is Buff's special choreography in Godspell! ;D

A highlight is Buff's special choreography in Godspell! ;D I swear, that's the first time they've said anything about a hand movement in that number. And then they expect me to remember it 30 minutes later!!! I'll have to find something that I'm good at that you can't do, and have a good laugh at you! Buff

The Know, Sorry to do that, but I said earlier that the discussion on the controversy of "A Chorus Line" is finished. Your first sentance just reaffirmed a previous post, so I'm happy to leave that, but then you added further "information". Buff

Dear Readers It appears that some "guests" are also using the sydadnome "The Know". I wish to point out that the person or persons listed as a guest are not the same as this "The Know". Thus, it may also prove benefitial if that person or persons selects a more original name.
With thanks.
