I realised how great Silvie was after she cried during her second song *sigh* ... she took my breathe away!!
And, OMG AMANDA SINGING NO ONE BUT YOU!! I looooove her!! She is absolutely amazing ... and I also think she is the funniest person to watch throughout WWRY she does the most random things!!

and when she sings "I Want It All" with Dan Fletcher ... brilliance! You missed Jason Chong! He was fantastic. It's so hard imagining anyone else as Brit. So sweet, too. Now WWRY was a jukebox musical that actually had a fair amount of talent in the leads, unlike some others I could name, where the leads are for the most part only serviceable.

Hi! I already posted once elsewhere, because I didn't see this topic. Sorry!
Anyhoo, my name is Kat, I live in Melbourne. I love music theatre, but I should warn you I tend to be really critical of it. I hate the way the world sees it as a 2 dimensional, sentimental art form, and think that a lot of the musicals out there perpetuate that instead of taking advantage of the emotional honesty that can come from music. So I idolise shows that haveb dramatic integrity, like Man of La Mancha, Rent, The Last Five Years. There are very few *good* musicals around, hopefully that's starting to change.
Okay, rant over. Howdy, everybody, I look forward to chatting with you!
Kat.

Hey everyone, I've actually been here a while, though never really introduced myself and some of you may recognise me from musicals.net but highly ulikely. I'm Steph, a teenage gal from Melbourne. I'm in Year 12 at the moment and am hoping to study Media or Communications at Uni.
I love Kane Alexander. And thats it. No really. I am a huge Kane fan, I also like most other people in Australian musical theatre. Except one. Marina Prior. *prepares to be blasted* Sorry, something about her I do not like, except I did think she was good in Annie Get Your Gun.
My favourite musicals are Hair, Rent, We Will Rock You, Cats, Urinetown and Little Shop of Horrors.
Its hot and late here in Melbourne, so i wont write anymore

Hello! I've just joined the site. I'm from Sydney, have been doing amateur productions for about 7 years, and never find it enough for me. I've switched happily back and forth between chorus/ensemble and main roles (although I'd rather be centre of attention, really ) and stuck mainly to the same community group. Current role: Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof (just about to start rehearsals).

Yes, I am a "Buff convert" to these boards from musicals.net. ;D
I need to re-work my intro, though, as I just discovered my current role is actually Tzeitel. Casting changes ahoy! And I'm still not up to the first rehearsal. ;D

Congratulations! It's a great show. And welcome to the board. Have you been at m.net for long? I used to post over there (under the same sn), but have been far too busy recently.

Hello all, I've posted here a couple of times, usually to bag out shows (like the Lion King ) but I intend to check more regularly now, so here I am introducing myself! I'm from Sydney, I'm 22, do lots of amateur musicals (current one - Assassins) and do a spot of pro singing work in clubs and corporate stuff (classical sop trying to sound more contemporary!). Just got my first full time job (as a producer for an international conference/publications/events company, so apparently waving goodbye to hopes of an immediate career in the theatre world (I'll return with project management experience AND a singing degree, HA!) I see there is already a Lana or Alana, damnit! What are the odds? I'm Alana, but my yahoo profile is Lanawench so I can go by that if it dispels confusions! *curtseys* ~Alana
