Hey, in the words of Little Sally, when a little girl gets as many lines (or makes as many posts!) as I have, there's still hope for dreams! Good to see you here, Shelley! And hope to see you posting

Oh, and I am also a muso - I play flute, piccolo and clarinet. I was just about to make a rude comment about playing flute (brass players always pick on flute players ) when I read this: I love a capella vocal stuff as well - any Idea of North fans about? HELL YEAH!!! Love those guys to bits. They have pretty good following here in Tassie and so do at least one trip each year. I've even been to a workshop with them. Welcome to the board! Buff

Oh I am so glad I avoided the rude comments!! We get used to it after a while *rolls eyes*. I'm so upset - Idea of North's Melbourne gigs are also opening and second night of my show next week!! The timing couldn't be worse. But I'm glad I wasn't greeted with "Idea with who?...", which is quite common I've seen them and met them and stuff before - they are so nice! The worshop must've been so good - I think my quartet are going to try and do next year's one.

If you can get to a workshop - do! They are fun and informative. The one I went to was only 1 - 1 1/2 hours but I learned some good stuff about blending that I've used with the choir I sing with and assist with conducting. I didn't get to either their concerts here a couple of weeks ago to launch their new CD One was in a city 100km away, the other 200km. Last year I travelled the 100km to go to the concert. Buff

Hi there! We're Christian Calcatelli (pianist & composer) & Robert Gray (lyricist) and are posting from Rome, Italy. We're actually show writers- having worked on a new musical theater show already. We have a project that you may want to explore since you are musical theater lovers! We have the crazy idea to write a show in 80 days - from scratch to completion - in time for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! We plan to give audiences a peek into the behind-the-scenes of musical theater, showing the blood, sweat and tears involved in this complex art form! Check it out and tell us what you think: www.musicaloven.comwww.myspace.com/manikinsthemusicalBest regards, Christian & Robert
